Job Title: Extended Day Site Coordinator
FLSA Status: Exempt
Reports to: Extended Day Director
General DescriptionThe Extended Day Site Coordinator is responsible for creating, fostering, and maintaining a robust and enriching environment for the before and after school extended day program.
Qualifications- Minimum one year experience in teaching or administration in before/after school care or related field
- Experience developing children’s program development and enrichment programs
- Ability to supervise and support a team of up to ten staff members and additional community partners
- Administrative and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and coordinate daily activities including student attendance, tuition collection and management, and parent communication
- Good interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with school-day teachers, staff and administration
- Facilitate program planning to ensure educational frameworks are embedded into enrichment activities
- Sensitivity to and/or experience working with children and adults from diverse cultural and economic backgrounds
Job Duties
- Supervise and manage the Extended Day Program at the building level in consultation with the Director of Extended Day.
- Implement daily programming with enthusiasm and competence.
- Reflect and document effectiveness of programming; including student engagement.
- Become familiar with each student’s strengths and areas of growth.
- Ensure student safety and follow appropriate protocols.
- Maintain all student records in accordance with DESE guidelines.
- Manage group leader assignments and schedules to maintain appropriate student ratios.
- Maintain current enrollment and daily attendance records.
- Manage the supplies and equipment for the program.
- Assist with staff and program evaluations.
- Support the annual registration process.
- Coordinate communication with parents of program participants.
- Maintain communication about behaviors, incidents/accidents with parents and staff.
- Maintain accurate information on student program participants.
- Perform any other duties as required by the Director of Extended Day.
Physical Requirements
Work Environment: Work is generally performed in a school environment before or after school hours.
Physical Requirements: The staff is frequently required to walk, stand, sit, talk, and hear, bend, stoop, crouch and/or kneel, and occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 25 pounds. Must have sufficient mobility to navigate within a large school building.

Salary: $28.48 to $34.23 per hour
