We're looking for an Evening Library Assistant who enjoys working with young people and takes pride in creating an organized, supportive, and inclusive environment. This role offers the opportunity to become an important part of our residential community by helping students make the most of one of the campus's most valued learning spaces.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Prior experience working with teenagers, customer service, libraries, or educational settings preferred.
- Proficiency with Google Workspace, Apple and PC platforms, and common web-based applications.
- Physical Requirements
- Ability to frequently bend, reach, stretch, and lift library materials weighing up to 20–30 pounds.
- Ability to move throughout the library during the course of an evening shift.
- Ability to work at a computer for extended periods while assisting students and managing library resources.
$25 per hour

What You'll DoReporting to the Director of Library & Digital Learning, the Evening Library Assistant helps oversee the library during evening study hall while supporting students, faculty, and the daily operation of the space.
You will:
- Supervise students during evening study hall while maintaining a quiet, respectful, and productive learning environment.
- Help cultivate a welcoming, supportive, and inclusive atmosphere for students, faculty, and staff.
- Assist students and faculty with locating, accessing, and using library collections and digital learning resources.
- Staff the circulation desk and respond to general library questions.
- Shelve, organize, and maintain books, periodicals, technology, and other library materials.
- Help ensure the library remains clean, organized, and inviting throughout the evening.
- Support the daily operation of the library and perform other duties as assigned.
The successful candidate will:
- Enjoy working with high school students in a diverse residential school community.
- Demonstrate excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Communicate effectively with students, faculty, and colleagues.
- Work independently while contributing positively as part of a collaborative team.
- Demonstrate strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Be comfortable using technology, including both Mac and PC platforms, Google Workspace, and web-based applications.
- Bring a positive attitude and a commitment to creating an inclusive and welcoming environment.
