Maintenance Specialist

Location:

On site at our closed-door Southborough MA pharmacy (155 Northboro Road, Southborough, MA)

Salary:
Starting at $20 - $23 an hour (dependent upon experience)

Schedule:

Monday – Friday 8:00 am – 4:30 pm

Travel:
Up to 50% (Travel reimbursement)

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain, repair, refurbish, and replace locks on medication/treatment carts and pharmacy‑provided equipment.
  • Perform on‑site repairs at customer facilities, including emergency/unscheduled service.
  • Assist with delivery, pickup, movement of heavy supplies, and general pharmacy errands.
  • Keep tools and equipment, backup parts, and warehouse spaces clean, organized, safe, and compliant with storage requirements (including flammables).
  • Receive deliveries, ensure proper stocking, and promptly route controlled‑substance deliveries to the control room unopened.
  • Maintain warehouse security by controlling access, keeping doors locked, and reporting unauthorized activity.
  • Provide basic building maintenance and support routine preventative‑maintenance scheduling.
  • Ensure timely trash removal and assist with cleaning tasks or clean‑ups as needed.
  • Maintain required equipment certifications and manage a list of approved local vendors for maintenance or emergency repairs.
  • Communicate effectively with managers, staff, and IT, assisting with maintenance concerns and relocation of IT assets when needed.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma, GED, or graduation from a technical school.
  • Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.
  • Prior maintenance and/or repair experience with furniture, cabinetry, or similar equipment containing locks, casters, and drawers.
  • Experience with medical equipment preferred.
  • Ability to read maps and follow directions to new locations.

    • Maintains strict confidentiality and handles sensitive information in accordance with Federal and State HIPAA regulations, company policies, and professional ethical standards.
    • Meets essential physical job requirements, including the ability to occasionally exert up to 100 lbs. of force, lift and move equipment, and remain on one’s feet or drive for extended periods throughout the workday.
    • Demonstrates strong mental and visual capabilities, including the ability to follow established procedures, manage workplace stressors (such as customer needs, emergencies, and regulatory demands), and maintain necessary visual acuity and color recognition.
