• Provides direct clinical patient care, assessing, planning, and implementing direct care to assigned patients on a per‑shift basis at the unit level.
• Supervises staff to which appropriate care is delegated.
• Supports the CNO to ensure high quality, safe, and appropriate nursing care, staff competency, and resource management related to patient care.
• Assumes responsibility for overall coordination and integration of patient care based on the nursing process.
• Directs care according to established safety standards, risk management, QI, and infection control, aiming to discharge patients with optimum care.
• Coordinates and plans patient care within the prescribed medical regime.
• Performs and fulfills all HICS (hospital incident command system) responsibilities, assignments, tasks, and roles as directed and needed by the facility during emergencies and/or disasters.
• Maintains knowledge of the hospital’s emergency codes and adheres to policies and procedures for each code.
• Performs related duties as required.

• Required: Education:
  Graduated from a state‑approved or accredited school of nursing.
• Required: Certification:
  Currently licensed, certified, or registered to practice in accordance with state law and regulations.
• Required: CPR certification.
• Preferred: Education:
  Academic degree in nursing (Bachelor’s or Master’s).
