This role provides direct clinical patient care in the operating room, coordinating and integrating patient care using the nursing process. It involves assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care, supervising delegated staff, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, and collaborating with the Clinical Nurse Organization to support high‑quality, resource‑efficient care.

• Deliver high‑quality, safe, cost‑effective nursing care to all patients in the OR setting.
• Coordinate and integrate patient care based on the nursing process, ensuring optimal discharge outcomes.
• Administer medications safely and in a timely manner in accordance with hospital policy.
• Perform and fulfill all Hospital Incident Command System responsibilities during emergencies.
• Recognize and respond to the hospital’s emergency codes, following established protocols.
• Supervise and support clinical staff, ensuring competency and adherence to high standards of patient care.
• Collaborate with the Clinical Nurse Organization to support patient safety, quality improvement, and infection control.

• Required:
  
  Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Preferred:
  Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nursing.
• Required certifications:
  Current state nursing license; AHA BLS; and, if applicable by hospital policy, AHA ACLS, PALS, or NRP.

• Successful completion of a background check and pre‑employment health screening, including drug screening.
