Wastewater Operator II - Southbridge, MA

Operate and maintain a wastewater treatment plant, including equipment maintenance, quality control testing, report compilation, recordkeeping, preventive maintenance, diagnosing operating problems, monitoring and adjusting treatment processes, collecting samples, and maintaining shift logs.

• Certification at a level of Massachusetts Class 3-M full or higher, or ability to obtain through reciprocity
• At least one (1) year of experience in operating water/wastewater treatment plants
• Advanced understanding of computer software including Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to enter data into a maintenance management system
• A valid driver’s license with no major infractions

• Current or working toward obtaining a Massachusetts hoisting engineer license 2A or 2B
• Intermediate to advanced level collection system certification
• Familiarity with the principles and practices of water/wastewater treatment plant operations, valves, pumps, and motors

Base salary range  60,100.00 to  72,800.00, paid hourly based on hours worked. Pay is determined by location and other factors such as skills, experience, and education.
