Overview
Lab Analyst to support water and wastewater laboratory operations at a municipal facility. This role supports routine sampling, testing, documentation, and quality control to ensure safe, compliant plant operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect and analyze water and wastewater samples.
- Perform chemical, biological, and bacteriological testing.
- Test pH, alkalinity, dissolved oxygen, total solids, volatile solids, residual chlorine, and coliform bacteria.
- Analyze influent, effluent, sludge, and receiving water bodies.
- Maintain lab equipment, materials, and safe work practices.
- Follow laboratory safety, QA/QC procedures, and documentation standards.
- Prepare and maintain accurate test records and reports.
- Support industrial pretreatment program activities as assigned.
- Perform additional duties as required to support plant operations.
Position Requirements
High School,
1+ Years
work experience Qualifications
- 1+ year of laboratory testing experience.
- Basic knowledge of chemistry, biology, and laboratory testing methods.
- Familiarity with laboratory safety practices and equipment maintenance.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic data management systems.
- Valid driver’s license.
