Catering Supervisor

We're recruiting an experienced Catering Supervisor who is passionate about exceptional food and world-class customer service, and who can confidently oversee all Compass Group UK&I catering and service operations for Healthcare on a permanent casual basis, contracted to 0 hours per week.

As a Catering Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring our kitchens and service counters run smoothly and helping to deliver truly incredible food experiences. This role is for to work from 08:00-19:30 on 3 days on 3 days off rolling rota.

Our supervisors work alongside our Retail Manager to deliver the best possible service to all of our patients as well as delivering the best business standards with pride and energy. Your honesty, hard‑work and leadership abilities will inspire your team to deliver great results and provide consistently brilliant customer service.

Supervisory experience is required, but full training will be given to the successful candidate.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Creating a positive environment so your team feel welcomed and included.
• Providing fast and efficient service everyday by providing support and communicating with the team in a busy NHS environment.
• Delegating to the team and making sure the team is proactive throughout the shift.
• Complying with food standards and hygiene practices.
• Complying with health and safety regulations.
• Ensuring the correct implementation of policies and procedures.
• Training and the retail team.
• Provide coaching and performance feedback to the frontline team.
• Support internal and external audits.

Our ideal Catering Supervisor will:

• Be passionate about great‑tasting food and exceptional customer service
• Have a minimum of two years of catering experience
• Have experience managing teams in a similar role
• Hold a Basic Food Hygiene certificate
• Have excellent communication and organisational skills
• Be an ambitious and motivated individual who is always looking to upskill
