Mechanical Plant Engineer (Field / Mobile)

Remuneration: £18.00 to £20.00 per hour (DOE). Regular overtime available. Overtime earnings (OTE): £65,000+ (15–20 hours per week at 1.5×). Benefits include a company van (personal use), fuel card, door‑to‑door travel paid, 25 days holiday + bank holidays, and a laptop.

Work Schedule:

Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week; up to 60 hours with overtime.

Mechanical Plant Engineer required for an industry‑leading engineering specialist. The role offers regular overtime opportunities without call‑out or weekend work, focusing on the regional area.

• Repair and service container lifting equipment across Essex ports.
• Travel directly to customer sites from home.
• Represent the company in the region.
• Service and repair of lifting equipment.
• Cover client sites in the Essex and Kent area.
• Adhere to a 40‑hour contract with up to 60 hours available, overtime paid at 1.5×.
• No out‑of‑hours call‑out.

• Mechanically biased engineer.
• Experience with hydraulics.
• Background within lifting, plant, or similar facilities.
• Experience with lifting equipment, plant machinery, forklifts or similar.
