Laundry Aide

• Remove and dispose of trash and relieve laundry staff as needed.
• Interact appropriately with residents, clients, other personnel, supervisors, and the public.
• Respond to customer preferences, comply with industry and federal and state guidelines, and meet the needs of residents.
• Follow infection control and universal precautions policies and procedures to ensure that a sanitary environment is maintained. Follow proper reporting, isolation, and handwashing procedures/techniques.
• Wash, dry, fold, and hang laundry, label residents' clothing, and return residents' laundry within 8 to 24 hours.
• Daily cleaning of the laundry department, sanitizing the washers and dryers, emptying the trash, sweeping, and mopping.

High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required. Experience in healthcare settings is preferred. Excellent customer service skills are necessary.
