Make an Impact Beyond the Medication Cart

As our Wound Care Nurse, you'll have the opportunity to focus on an important area of resident care while working closely with nursing leadership, physicians, residents, families, and the interdisciplinary care team.

Your expertise and attention to detail will help promote healing, prevent skin breakdown, and improve the overall quality of life for our residents.

What You'll Do
  • Assess, monitor, and document wounds and skin conditions

  • Perform wound care and treatments according to physician orders and individualized care plans

  • Track wound progress and identify changes in condition

  • Collaborate with physicians, nursing leadership, and the interdisciplinary care team

  • Assist with developing and updating individualized wound care plans

  • Educate residents, families, and staff on wound prevention and skin integrity

  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation

  • Support infection prevention and regulatory compliance

  • Help implement preventative measures for residents at risk for skin breakdown

  • Provide compassionate, resident-centered care

What We're Looking For
  • Active, unencumbered North Carolina LPN or RN license

  • Previous wound care experience

  • Long-term care experience preferred

  • Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills

  • Excellent communication and teamwork

  • Dependable, organized, and compassionate

  • A passion for providing high-quality resident care
