Senior Corporate Accountant

A great UHY client is seeking a Senior Corporate Accountant to join their growing team. This role will support month-end close, manage balance sheet reconciliations, ensure accurate income statement classification, and assist with taxes and filings across multiple locations. This is a great opportunity for a detail-oriented accountant to grow within a fast-paced, mission-driven organization.

The Senior Corporate Accountant role is a hybrid position, with 3 days each week being onsite. This is a client direct hire position.

Senior Corporate Accountant – Duties & Essential Functions

• Prepare and review journal entries for balance sheet and income statement accounts
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and analyze income statement trends and variances
• Ensure accurate classification of transactions in accordance with US GAAP
• Support monthly financial statement preparation and close activities
• Summarize, analyze, and present financial data in a clear and meaningful way
• Maintain strong internal controls over financial reporting
• Partner with operational teams to understand transaction flow and accounting impacts
• Support tax compliance and required filings across multiple locations
• Assist with ad hoc accounting projects and process improvement initiatives
• Maintain organized documentation and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• CPA preferred
• 2+ years of accounting, audit, or related professional experience
• Experience in retail, healthcare, or multi-location environments preferred
• Experience with Blackline or similar reconciliation tools preferred
• Strong proficiency with accounting systems and advanced Excel skills
• Strong understanding of US GAAP
• Detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to manage multiple priorities
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently
