The Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of billings and receivables. This role plays a critical part in maintaining strong customer relationships, supporting financial reporting, and contributing to the overall integrity of the company’s financial operations.
Essential Job FunctionsWith or without reasonable accommodation, the successful candidate will:
- Ensure billings and receivables are processed accurately and timely, including prompt cash application
- Liaise with customers regarding collections and resolution of outstanding balances
- Investigate and correct discrepancies in accounts and billings
- Prepare and/or facilitate accurate financial reports and analysis, including:
- Cash forecasting
- Past-due customer reporting
- Accounts receivable aging
- Reporting of debits and credits associated with AR
- Assist with month-end close activities
- Complete general ledger account reconciliations (including cash and accounts receivable)
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance preferred
- 5+ years of related accounting experience
- Strong understanding of accounts receivable and billing policies
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Proven time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
