Our rapid growth and increasing demand for services has created a need for a highly motivated individual to join our Tax Team as a Seasonal Tax Reviewer in office annually starting August‑October or January‑April.
ResponsibilitiesYour work will include, but not be limited to:
- Applying tax principles to analyze financial information and review financial reports.
- Individual income tax returns.
- Prepare estimated quarterly determinations.
- Prepare projections and extensions as needed.
- Research and consult on straightforward tax matters.
- Utilize tax‑related software to review and process returns.
- Maintain a good working relationship with partners, managers, and staff to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Proactively interact with key staff to gather information and provide guidance on tax‑related assignments as requested.
- May respond to inquiries from the IRS.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- CPA or EA required.
- Minimum of 4+ years of experience in a professional tax, legal, or accounting services environment with expertise in 1040, trust, or partnership tax returns.
- Technology skills: proficiency with financial accounting systems, Microsoft Office, and the Firm’s tax software.
- Preferred: qualified individuals residing in or near a Plante Moran office.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship (except for qualified bilingual candidates with Japanese/English or Chinese/English).
This is a non‑exempt position that may be part‑time based on candidate flexibility. Expected schedule: minimum 20 hours per week or hours that exceed the standard 40‑hour work week. Compensation: $38.00–$38.00 per hour, based on region (CO, IL, OH, MA).
