Our client is a well-established real estate investment and property management company with a diverse portfolio of commercial and multifamily properties. Reporting directly to the CFO, the Controller will play a highly visible leadership role responsible for financial reporting, developing an experienced accounting team, and helping drive operational excellence across the organization.

• Lead the monthly financial close and oversee accurate, timely financial reporting.
• Review commercial and multifamily property financial statements and ensure consistency across the portfolio.
• Provide leadership around CAM reconciliations, lease interpretation, and tenant accounting.
• Partner closely with operations to improve property performance and financial results.
• Strengthen internal controls, streamline accounting processes, and identify opportunities for greater efficiency.
• Support acquisitions, property transitions, budgeting, forecasting, and special projects.
• Leverage Yardi Voyager and technology to improve reporting and accounting workflows.
• Develop and mentor an experienced accounting team while fostering accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• CPA preferred
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Leadership experience developing and mentoring accounting professionals
• Commercial and/or multifamily real estate accounting experience
• Strong understanding of financial reporting, month-end close, and internal controls
• Experience with CAM reconciliations and lease accounting
• Yardi Voyager experience is highly preferred
• Advanced Excel skills

Competitive base salary up to $130,000
, commensurate with experience, plus excellent benefits.
