Role DescriptionThe Clerical Officer role is a full-time, on-site position based in Southfield, MI. This role is responsible for performing a variety of administrative and office support tasks, including managing incoming and outgoing correspondence, maintaining files and records, and updating internal databases and spreadsheets. The Clerical Officer will handle data entry, prepare basic reports, assist with document preparation and photocopying, and support reception duties such as answering phones and directing inquiries.
The role also involves coordinating with other departments to ensure accurate information flow, processing routine paperwork, and adhering to company procedures and confidentiality requirements. The Clerical Officer is expected to manage time effectively, follow established workflows, and provide professional and courteous support to colleagues and external contacts.
- Strong administrative and office support skills, including data entry, filing, and document management.
- Proficiency with office software (e.g., word processing, spreadsheets, email, and basic database tools).
- Effective written and verbal communication skills and a professional telephone manner.
- Good organizational and time-management abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work on-site in Southfield, MI, collaborate with team members, and follow established procedures.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary coursework in business or office administration is an asset.
- Previous experience in a clerical, administrative, or office assistant role is preferred but not mandatory.
