Benefit Coordinator Intern

Key Accountabilities:

Responds to telephone calls and emails, resolving benefit inquiries

Completes various administrative tasks within the Benefits Administrative system including the review of qualifying life events and coverage changes

Reviews and processes court orders requiring changes to benefit coverage

Reconciles monthly invoices from related vendors and facilitates approval for payment

Learns organizational processes and procedures

Contributes to assigned projects and may assist with the development and maintenance of documentation or records

Works in team environment, communicating as required with all personnel

Assembles information in a timely and efficient manner

Collaborates with staff and departments in preparing special projects

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

Currently enrolled or recently graduated (within 1-year) from an accredited university or college with an HR focused or related degree

Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).Applicants should be competitive, assertive, and self-motivated

Ability to work both independently and in a team environment. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

Preferred Requirements:

Entry-level knowledge and skill within specified area of professional specialty.

Project planning skills.

Ability to think critically, multi-task, and keep up in a fast-paced environment.
