Office Administrator/ Coordinator, Business Administration
The Executive Assistant provides administrative and operational support to a member of our executive team. It's a fast-paced role that rewards someone who thrives on momentum: priorities shift throughout the day, several projects move at once, and you'll be the person keeping all of it on track. Because our executives rely on this support to keep the firm running, we're looking for someone who is consistently reachable and responsive, including outside standard business hours when the need arises.
It's also a position of trust: you'll see confidential client, personnel, and firm information every day, and you'll protect it with complete discretion.
The Mike Morse Law Firm is Michigan's largest personal injury law firm — 300+ legal professionals, more than $2 billion won, and 50,000+ clients served since 1995. We're growing, and we're looking for an Executive Assistant who shares our dedication to helping our clients live well.
What You'll Do
- Work directly with the Executive to support every part of their day, anticipating needs before they're raised.
- Own the Executive's calendar — meetings, appointments, speaking engagements, and travel — exercising good judgment about how their time is committed.
- Serve as the first point of contact for the Executive, screening calls and email, answering questions with tact, and routing matters to the right person for resolution.
- Communicate with clients on scheduling and administrative matters with warmth and professionalism.
- Determine what needs the Executive's attention and what you can handle yourself, keeping them ahead of time-sensitive issues and following up until things are closed out.
- Coordinate projects and programs on the Executive's behalf, working across departments to keep efforts moving.
- Prepare correspondence, presentations, reports, spreadsheets, and agenda materials; attend meetings and draft the minutes and summaries.
- Handle day-to-day support duties — mail, packages, copying, filing, expense receipts, and accounting platform updates — and maintain organized paper and electronic filing systems.
- Take on special projects and support other departments or Executives as needed.
What You'll Bring
- Exceptional discretion with confidential and sensitive information.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, and the poise to represent the Executive well.
- The ability to juggle competing priorities in a fast-paced environment without losing details.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
