Intact’s Global Specialty Lines business spans across more than 20 verticals in four distinct markets: U.S., Canada, UK and Europe. The following opportunity is for our U.S. team.

We currently have an opportunity for an Underwriting intern to join our Surety team based in our Southfield, Michigan office. You’ll work directly with the Senior Training Specialist to help create engaging learning experiences, maintain internal resources, and contribute to operational efficiency. You will also have the opportunity to work closely with experienced Surety industry professionals. The projected start date is early June 2025, and the internship will last approximately 8-10 weeks.

• Assist in developing and organizing training materials, presentations, and job aids
• Maintain and update SharePoint sites and internal documentation libraries
• Support training software workflow and tasks
• Help document procedures and training content
• Participate in training coordination, scheduling, and feedback collection
• Assist with project management and prioritization
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams

• Real-world experience in corporate training and enablement
• Exposure to surety operations and business intelligence
• Mentorship and guidance from an experienced solutions team
• Opportunities to contribute to meaningful projects and build your resume

• Business, Communications, Instructional Design, or related field preferred
• A collaborative mindset and willingness to learn
• Strong written, verbal communication, and editing skills
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail
• Comfortable working with Microsoft 365 Suite (specifically PowerPoint, Excel, and SharePoint) or similar programs
• Interest in digital tools and user enablement platforms
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a professional environment

Compensation for Southfield, MI: $20/hour
