Project Engineer (Mechanical) – Local Roles
Locations: Rio Rancho, NM | Arlington, TX
Salary: $90K – $110K Base + Full Benefits
AboutThe Role
We are actively hiring Project Engineers with strong mechanical experience to support large-scale construction projects, including hyperscale data centers. This is an excellent opportunity to grow into a Project Manager role while working on complex, high-impact builds.
What You’ll Be Doing- Support execution of mechanical scopes (HVAC, piping, plumbing)
- Manage RFIs, submittals, procurement, and project documentation
- Coordinate with field teams, subcontractors, and project managers
- Assist with scheduling, budgeting, and project tracking
- Gain exposure to large-scale, mission-critical construction
- 2–5+ years of construction experience (Project Engineer or APM level)
- Strong knowledge of HVAC/mechanical systems (required)
- Experience on commercial, industrial, or data center projects preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Clear path to Project Manager
- Exposure to hyperscale data center projects
- Stable pipeline of work with long-term growth
