Plante Moran Realpoint, LLC (PMR) seeks a Construction Project Manager to lead projects from early planning through closeout, partnering with owners, designers, and contractors to deliver results with confidence.
Responsibilities- Participate in preparing and submitting proposals for new work.
- Develop, distribute, and coordinate RFQs and RFPs for professional services and contractors.
- Steer project budgets, timelines, and deliverables to align perfectly with client needs, enhancing client relationships.
- Oversee the construction process by tracking progress, monitoring contractors and vendors, and adjusting plans to ensure projects are successfully completed.
- Provide comprehensive oversight of all project aspects, including design, construction, legal, and financial elements.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with developments through contractual management.
- Prepare detailed reports and engaging presentations for clients and stakeholders.
- Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management degree from an accredited college or university.
- 10+ years of building, design, and construction experience in project management, construction administration, or construction field management.
- Experience working for an Owner’s Facility Team or as a consultant preferred.
- Construction field experience on large‑scale healthcare/institutional work and knowledge of construction best practices required.
- Understanding of the design process that drives scope and budget development desirable.
- Construction cost estimating experience desirable.
- Experience with vertical construction, high density, or high‑profile projects desirable.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Project and/or Primavera Scheduling Software; familiarity with BIM.
- Qualified candidates must reside in or near the Metro Detroit area or be willing to relocate; frequent travel within the region, with approximately 10% overnight travel.
Base salary range: $ – $ (CO, IL, OH, and MA). Benefits include health, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, 401(k) plan, flexible benefits, paid time off, and travel reimbursement.
