Audacy Detroit is in search of part‑time on‑air talent! We’re looking for a passionate alternative music fan who can creatively share their love for the format with our growing Detroit audience in the studio, through social media and in the community.
Responsibilities- Host weekend/fill‑in air shifts
- Engage with fans at events, sales appearances and remote broadcasts
- Create content for station socials, focusing on both alternative music and Detroit
- Protect the station’s FCC license
- Monitor the music and commercial logs for the airshift
- Ensure that promotions and contests are executed properly
- Other duties as required by management
- Must have a thorough understanding of the alternative format, audience and lifestyle
- Must be an excellent communicator and collaborator with a strong work ethic
- Must have a working knowledge of the equipment and technical systems necessary for on‑air execution, including automation systems such as Wide Orbit
- Experience with on‑air and/or digital content creation preferred
- Familiarity with the Detroit local music scene and concert venues a plus
- Must have knowledge of FCC rules and regulations
- A valid driver’s license, satisfactory completion of a motor vehicle record check, and, if the position requires use of applicants’ own vehicle, proof of insurance is required
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear
- Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
- Majority of work will involve speaking into a microphone and operating a computer keyboard
- Job may require on site broadcasts where tables/equipment may need to be set up or broken down
