Overview
Responsibilities include taking the engineered electrical package for Conveyor and Painting Processes and, with the electrical department, developing this design into installation bid packages; following the package through bidding and into the field to ensure proper installation and final acceptance by the customer; and delivering electrical installation conveyors on time and within budget, with scope compliance, scheduling, and changes. Develop electrical installation bid packages based on Durr standards and customer specifications;
participate with purchasing in bid evaluation and supplier selection.
Coordinate interfaces with process and robots and with electrical/mechanical engineering to develop conveyor process descriptions; utilize Siemens PLC & HMI, Allen Bradley PLC & HMI, safety systems, Siemens SIMOVE ANS+, electrical project drawings, SAP, Power BI, Java, C++, and C# to perform duties. Coordinate with Process, Mechanical, and Electrical Engineers during the design process to ensure proper placement of conveyor drives, equipment, and maintenance access in the 3D model.
Develop the conveyor safety layout; prepare Schedule of Values for installation work; assess and approve percentages complete with the contractor and approve invoices; provide weekly updates on percentages complete for input into the master tracking schedule; monitor site activities for contractor compliance with bid documents and changes; attend project coordination meetings as required; and prepare project progress updates for the customer, as required.
Location:
Southfield, MI and various unanticipated locations throughout the US.
Salary: $115,000 per year.

- Responsible for the successful delivery of the electrical installation conveyors (on-time and within the budget), as well as for scope compliance, time scheduling, and changes; responsible for the development of electrical installation bid packages, including detailed scope of work and specifications based on Durr standards and customer specifications; participate with purchasing in bid evaluation and supplier selection

- Education:
Associate Degree in Mechatronic Engineering Technology, or in a related field of study (will accept equivalent foreign degree); - Experience:
Two (2) years in the position above, as an Automation Coordinator, as an Automation Technician, as an Engineering Technician, as a PLC Programmer, or in a related occupation; - Other Requirements:
Experience must include two (2) years’ use of all the following:
Siemens PLC & HMI, Allen Bradley PLC & HMI, safety systems, Siemens SIMOVE ANS+, electrical project drawing, SAP, Power BI, Java, C++, and C#. - Will also accept any suitable combination of education, training, and/or experience
