Electrical Project Engineer

Responsibilities

• Detailing and electrical design (hardware and software) for industrial control systems.
• Design and detailing of industrial controls systems for both hardware and software.
• Generate design drawings, bill of equipment, PLC/controller code/graphic user interface code from examples and reference projects.
• Follow through designs to equipment fabrication, software code testing, and on-site startup/debug of all functions.
• Maintain transmittal records and document control.
• Interface with the customer to establish design goals.
• Specify equipment.
• Travel approximately 30%.

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
• 3 years of position related experience.
• Experience with electrical engineering design for industrial controls and panels.
• Able to interpret NEC and local codes.
• Familiar with PLC programming, graphic user interface programming, computer operating systems and networking.
• Familiar with instrumentation and process control.
• Familiar with Robotic cell designs.
• Familiar with Hazardous area classifications.
• Good analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office:
  Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of SAP is a plus.
• Ability to understand project schedules.
• Good time management skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to work well independently and in a team environment.
