PHD Automotive Engineer - Southfield, MI

Overview

Contract position for a PhD Automotive Engineer located in Southfield, MI. Duration: 6+ months. Background verification (BGV) will be conducted for selected candidates. All information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.

• Communicate with stakeholders, including internal and external counterparts.
• Lead roles in previous assignments and publish white papers or case studies on sensors, data acquisition and processing.
• Apply knowledge of automotive subsystems and sensors (camera, LIDAR, RADAR, ADAS).
• Understand requirement management and work with CAN, LIN, embedded OS’s, and robotics as applicable.
• Contribute to programming-related activities with fundamentals in C, C#, or Java.
• Demonstrate strong communication and presentation skills; be independent, self-motivated, and a quick learner.

• Must have a PhD with 3 to 10 years of experience in Research and Development.
• Must have worked in the Automotive Industry.
• Good knowledge about camera sensors, LIDAR, RADAR, and ADAS.
• Good understanding of requirement management.
• Experience with Automotive subsystems, CAN, LIN, embedded OS’s, and robotics.
• Fundamentals of programming languages C, C# or Java.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Independent, self-motivated, and quick learner.
