About The Position
We are looking for a System Validation front desk engineer in charge of performing first‑level analysis of issues reported by the customer during the development phase of the product. This involves verifying product behaviour, checking customer requirements, characterizing reported defects, interviewing the customer, and, if confirmed, routing the issue to the appropriate development team. The front desk engineer role may be combined with other validation‑related roles such as defect manager, vehicle tester, or product validation leader on small‑scope projects.
YourResponsibilities Will Be
- Ensure, during the development phase, first‑level customer defect analysis on time according to the associated priority.
- Reject or duplicate defects when possible to focus only on real defects.
- Ensure a mutual understanding of defects between the customer, product validation team, and software and hardware teams.
- Track customer defects to closure, agreeing with the technical team on timing and priorities for resolution.
- Verify issue fixes before customer delivery.
- Design and execute automated stress/performance testing.
- Provide regular reports illustrating defect status associated with customer defects.
- Review and discuss defect status with the customer on a periodic basis with project team support (PVL and technical referents).
- Coordinate with TPL and SW PL to ensure defect validation supports issue resolution until closure.
- Support PVL and project manager for defects handling.
- Support the CCB (Change Control Board) meeting for the defects part.
- Organize training sessions for product analysts for Marelli and customer plants to enable efficient troubleshooting of claimed parts and generate related training material.
- Support the SW team in reproducing defects by collecting logs and information needed for analysis.
- Electronic Engineering Degree, Information Science Degree, or equivalent background.
- English (recommended): written and spoken independent use (B2 level).
- At least three years of experience in system test activities, matured in the automotive area or other large‑scale markets.
- Ability to work in multinational distributed teams.
- High capacity for analysis and synthesis for all technical issues.
