Customer Quality Engineer Specialty Gaskets

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Acting as the point of contact between the plant and customer in the case of any complaints or quality problems (series production quality and warranty), including on site at the customer's premises if required.
• Responsible for initiating, coordinating and tracking remedial measures, including the approval of deviations by the customer, in coordination with the technical departments; drawing up the presentation and communicating with the customer.
• Coordinating and carrying out customer audits in collaboration with the customer, including tracking the remedial measures.
• Monitoring the 8D reports in the customer portals (report on problems solved and cancellation of rejected complaints) and initiating the relevant measures to obtain final agreement on the 8D reports.
• Carrying out the warranty process at the plant as per VDA, internal specifications and Customer‑Specific Requirements (CSR), including initiating an NTF (no trouble found) process if necessary.
• Recording warranty parts, analysing the costs and documenting warranty services and warranty statuses, and obtaining the specified KPIs.
• Analyzing warranty‑related data from the field (including access to customer warranty portals) and requesting special warranty parts if required, to optimise the drafting of contracts with customers.

• Completed bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a similar field.
• At least 4 years of professional experience in a similar role or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Previous Ford and/or GM customer service experience required.
• SAP experience is preferred.
