Job Responsibilities
As an Engineering Student at Magna Electronics, you will join a dynamic team of professionals implementing cutting‑edge technologies in the Autonomous Driving domain. You will be placed on the Optics Team in the Interior Sensing Systems group, primarily supporting optical validation through engineering experimentation, execution of test plans, technical report generation, and technical writing. The role may also involve designing and implementing engineering equipment, including electrical and mechanical testing.
YourResponsibilities
- Engineering experimentation of optical elements
- Execution of engineering test plans
- Technical report generation
- Technical writing
- Support imaging optical verification
- Currently enrolled in an accredited degree program pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Mechanical Engineering
- Knowledge of the software development lifecycle
- Some software development experience in Python and C++ is a plus
Preferred Qualifications
- Excellent academics (cumulative GPA ≥ 3.0)
- Part‑time availability year round
- Proficient computer knowledge and skills, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Professional communication skills (written and verbal)
- Proficiency in use of basic electrical tools, i.e., oscilloscope, multimeter
- Demonstrated success in resolving technical challenges through strong problem‑solving skills
