Job Summary
  • Responsible for land development, residential, industrial, retail, mixed‑use, healthcare, educational and recreational design technical tasks including site layout, utility design, roadway design, site grading, soil erosion and sedimentation control, floodplain studies, permitting and entitlement support, engineer’s opinions of probable cost, proposal preparation, and construction support.
Accountability and Duties
  • Prepare engineer’s opinion of probable cost.
  • Maintain strong client relationships.
  • Prepare permit applications for applicable municipal agencies.
  • Prepare feasibility studies, master planning and engineering, design of water, sanitary and storm sewer, paving and detention facilities.
  • Assist in proposal preparation for engineering services.
  • Review and prepare project specifications.
  • Assist in production of final construction drawings.
  • Mentor and train Civil Engineers.
  • Delegate project components to Civil Engineers.
  • Collaborate with other disciplines on multi‑discipline projects.
  • Manage project schedules and enforce timely completion.
  • Participate in business development activities.
  • Represent the firm at client and municipal meetings/hearings.
  • Prepare and monitor project budgets, billing and assist with A/R.
  • Perform other duties incidental to the work described herein.
Required Certificates, Licenses, and Registration
  • PE license required.
  • Valid driver’s license.
Qualification Requirements
  • 6+ years of experience, AutoCAD Civil 3D experience.
Education and/or Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited four‑year college or university.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions; interpret technical instructions and manage variables.
  • Outstanding writing, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office.
  • Fluent in English.
Physical Demands
  • Work primarily seated, with occasional standing, walking, and handling objects up to 10 lb, occasionally up to 25 lb.
  • Requires close, distance, color, depth vision and the ability to adjust focus.
  • May work outside in varying weather; reasonable accommodations available.
Pay Range

$90,000 – $135,000 USD.
