DiClemente Siegel Design Inc., a veteran‑owned engineering and architectural firm, is looking for Licensed Senior Electrical Engineers (P.E.) for its Southfield, MI and Burton, MI offices. The firm serves multiple sectors including research, commercial, automotive, K‑12, higher education, healthcare, religious, and government markets with over 55 years of reliable engineering experience.
What You’ll Do- Lead electrical engineering efforts across all project phases—from schematic design through construction—for complex institutional, commercial, and automotive facilities in the office setting.
- Manage multi‑discipline projects, collaborating with architects, mechanical engineers, and external consultants to ensure seamless integration.
- Provide construction‑phase services, including shop‑drawing review, punch lists, and participation in site visits and contractor meetings to ensure design intent is maintained.
- Prepare technical presentations, participate in project meetings and provide electrical expertise.
- Mentor junior staff and assist project managers in setting design direction, reviewing work, and ensuring deliverables meet code and client expectations.
- Apply deep technical expertise in the NEC, relevant Michigan code, and electrical systems design to influence project strategy and improve quality deliverables.
- Seal documents in your discipline for projects you oversee.
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Electrical Engineering in the State of Michigan.
- 10+ years of experience in electrical systems design (power distribution, lighting, lighting controls, emergency egress lighting, data communication and fire alarm).
- Knowledge of NEC and related Michigan codes impacting electrical design.
- Experience in construction‑phase services (shop‑drawing review, punch list assembly, construction meetings).
- Experience with client communication and project leadership.
- Experience with building construction, building systems, and document development processes.
- Willingness and ability to travel within the State to project sites as needed.
