Job Description
NATURE OF WORK: The Fastening Engineer Lead - SME reports to the AME director. Drive and manage Lear torque standards across all North America plants.
ResponsibilitiesEXAMPLES OF WORK PERFORMED:
- Audit/Track torque strategy across all NA plants in compliance with standard
- Subject matter expert on all types of fasteners, threaded fastener, rivets
- Drive innovations with fastening technology and automation
- Fastening equipment hardware selection
- MES data acquisition settings tracking and change request tracking
- Lear torque standards updating and progression
- Launch support, production support as issues arises with fastening
- Meetings with customer on reviewing requirements, and production issues
- Support the plants while working with corporate fastening engineers on new product
- Leading torque training across plants to develop competence in all plants and support
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
- 8+ years of fastener engineering experience
- Knowledge of manufacture processes and Tooling
- Strong knowledge of MS Office – especially Excel
