Designer, Engineering Design & Technologists, CAD​/ AutoCAD​/ Mechanical Design

Akkodis is seeking a CATIA Designer for our Contract Position (12+ Months) role with our client in Southfield, MI.

Pay Range: $40/hr. to $46/hr. on w2. (The pay may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.)

Job Type: Contract (12+ Months)

• Design wiring harness CAD model using CATIA Electrical workbenches, maintain CATIA model to customer and company's standards to feed downstream tools and processes.
• Address and resolve packaging issues related to wiring
• Participate in customer meeting related to wiring
• Work in the customer’s PLM following OEM rules and requirements
• Merge MCAD data with ECAD data
• Troubleshoot and solve discrepancies between MCAD and ECAD
• Share knowledge of tools and processes, train less experienced designers
• Create space claim models for provisional components, throughs, grommets etc.
• Conduct yourself in a professional manner

What are the mandatory / non-negotiable skills this person MUST have to be considered?

• CATIA Experience with electrical components, Teamcenter Experience, Automotive Wire routing a plus.
