Electrical Installation Coordinator
Coordinate electrical installation and commissioning activities at customer sites. Partner with Project Management, Engineering, site leadership, contractors, and customers. Lead site coordination meetings, pre-job walkthroughs, and contractor activities. Review electrical drawings, specifications, field orders, and installation requirements. Verify equipment installation and confirm compliance with project specifications and applicable standards. Perform equipment startup, testing, debugging, and commissioning. Troubleshoot controls hardware, software, industrial networks, and electrical systems.
Support PLC, HMI, Ethernet, Profinet, sensors, actuators, and power-distribution systems. Record baseline data, collect performance information, and generate commissioning reports. Mark up drawings, document field changes, and coordinate required change requests. Manage punch-list completion, equipment testing, documentation, and final handover. Coordinate subcontractors and address installation or engineering issues in the field. Support startup and production activities through successful customer acceptance.
Maintain a strong focus on safety, quality, schedule, and customer satisfaction.
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related discipline; equivalent technical training and experience may be considered. Strong experience with electrical installation, industrial equipment, automated machinery, or plant systems. Experience commissioning and troubleshooting electrical and controls systems. Knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, industrial networks, sensors, actuators, and variable-frequency drives. Experience with power-distribution systems and heavy-duty electrical installations. Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, specifications, and technical documentation.
Working knowledge of applicable standards, including EN 60204-1, UL 508A, NEC, and NFPA. At least three years of supervisory or site-leadership experience. Experience coordinating contractors, skilled trades, customers, and cross-functional project teams. Understanding of OSHA requirements; OSHA 30 certification preferred. Strong communication, organization, documentation, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Willingness and ability to travel approximately 90%, including extended assignments at customer sites.
