Project Engineer, Automation & Mechatronics Engineer

Comau LLC is seeking a Project Engineer to drive the design and implementation of advanced automation and robotic systems within our Engineering & Design department. In this role, you will manage technical project activities from concept through commissioning, developing layouts, specifications, and documentation for complex manufacturing lines, particularly in the automotive sector. You will collaborate closely with global, cross-functional teams and customers, ensuring safety, quality, and performance targets are met.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and implementation of industrial automation and robotic systems for manufacturing projects
• Develop engineering specifications, layouts, and technical documentation for new and upgraded production lines
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and customers to define requirements and ensure on-time project delivery
• Support commissioning, testing, and optimization of equipment to meet safety, quality, and performance targets
• Identify and implement engineering improvements that enhance reliability, throughput, and flexibility of production systems
