Job Overview
Join the Tax Team as a Seasonal Tax Reviewer. The position is office-based, available annually in either August‑October or January‑April.
Responsibilities- Apply tax principles to analyze financial information and review financial reports, including Individual Income Tax Returns, Trust or Partnership Tax Returns, and other tax matters.
- Prepare Estimated quarterly determinations and projections as needed.
- Prepare, review, and process tax returns using the firm’s tax software.
- Maintain effective relationships with Partners, managers, and staff to enhance client satisfaction.
- Collaborate with key staff to gather information and provide guidance on tax-related assignments.
- Respond to inquiries from the IRS when required.
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- CPA or EA designation required.
- Minimum 4+ years’ experience in professional tax, legal, or accounting services with expertise in at least one of the following areas: 1040, Trust or Partnership tax returns.
- Proficiency in financial accounting systems, Microsoft Office, and the firm’s tax software.
- Qualified individuals are preferred if they reside in or near a Plante Moran office.
Non‑exempt; part‑time possible. Expected schedule: at least 20 hours per week or more, up to a standard 40‑hour work week, with flexibility based on candidate preference.
Compensation and Benefits- Hourly rate:
Colorado $38.00 – $38.00, Illinois $38.00 – $38.00. - Eligible staff receive a robust benefits package, including health, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance.
- Benefits are effective on the first of the month following the start date and vary with hours worked.
- Additional benefits:
Flexible Time Off, pre‑determined holidays, 401(k) plan, flexible benefits plans, business‑related travel expense, lodging and meal reimbursement. - Seasonal staff are not eligible for benefits.
