Reimbursement Senior Consultant

Your role

• Prepare, review and analyze Medicare and Medicaid cost reports in accordance with Federal and State regulations
• Participate in strategic engagements focused on preparation and analysis of Medicare and Medicaid cost reports for acute care clients
• Analyze data to optimize various areas of Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement
• Consult with clients on strategic and operational decisions based on reimbursement implications
• Assist clients with financial analysis related to changes in third-party payor reimbursement regulations and new models of care

This position offers the opportunity to work from our Southfield or Traverse City, Michigan office.

Candidates should be located within a commutable distance of either location to support in-office responsibilities.

Candidates must reside within a reasonable commuting distance of one of these office locations.

Ability to travel approximately 25%.

This is an exempt position that may require some local and national travel.

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, healthcare, or a related field.
• CPA preferred.
• 2+ years experience with Medicare and Medicaid cost reports and related analysis.
• Knowledge of accounting and financial analysis, with the ability to identify variances and identify opportunities to improve processes & procedures.
• Proficient technical skills, including those required to be proficient with financial accounting and reporting systems and MS Office.
