Maintenance Technician

OVERVIEW OF THE COMPANY

Fox TV Stations is a division of FOX Television Stations that owns and operates 29 full‑power broadcast TV stations across the U.S., including major markets such as New York, Los Angeles, and Chicago. The stations produce roughly 1,200 hours of local news per week and share FOX Network content.

An employee in this role will provide full‑time technical support for broadcast equipment, including master control on‑air equipment, broadcast IT systems, transmitters, cameras, switchers, graphic systems, and more.

• Maintain network interface with Fox Hub/Spoke systems for local and national programming and commercial content.
• Install and configure new television electronic equipment and software for local news, sports, productions, and daily on‑air programming.
• Assist with remote location productions.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

• Broadcast IT systems, transmitters, receivers, cameras, switchers, graphic systems, audio equipment, video systems, routers, automation/editing systems, intercoms, two‑way radios, network switches, servers, IP systems

• Repair, maintain, and operate all types of standard broadcast equipment and related software.
• Install, configure, maintain, and operate IP‑based SAN, LAN, or WAN systems.
• Computer literacy.
• CAD experience a plus.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Adaptability to a fast‑paced, rapidly changing technical environment.
• Understanding of FCC rules and regulations.
• Cisco and SBE certifications highly desirable.
• Knowledge of safety practices and procedures.
• Ability to establish and maintain harmonious working relationships.

• Minimum 2 years of college or technical school majoring in a broadcast or IT related field, or equivalent broadcast experience.
• At least 3 years working in a major market broadcast or IT environment.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.

Pay range: $24.66–$39.99 per hour, dependent on education, experience, and location. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Union‑represented employees receive benefits per the collective bargaining agreement.
