Our client is seeking an experienced SAP Security & Basis Administrator to support and maintain a complex SAP environment. This is a hands-on technical role for an SAP professional who understands both SAP system administration (Basis) and SAP security, access, and authorization management.

The ideal candidate will bring strong SAP technical experience, excellent troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work with internal business and technology teams as well as external infrastructure and hosting partners.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced SAP Security professional with Basis knowledge, SAP Basis professional with strong security experience, or a hybrid SAP Security/Basis administrator looking for a broader role.

• Administer and support SAP environments across development, testing, and production.
• Manage SAP user access, roles, authorizations, and security controls.
• Develop and maintain SAP security roles and authorization structures.
• Support segregation-of-duties (SoD) controls, access reviews, and audit requirements.
• Manage SAP system transports, system refreshes, upgrades, patches, and related landscape activities.
• Monitor SAP system performance, availability, and overall system health.
• Troubleshoot SAP system issues, short dumps, connectivity problems, and integration failures.
• Support single sign-on (SSO), authentication, and secure connectivity within the SAP environment.
• Work with infrastructure, cloud, hosting, and third-party support partners on SAP-related technical issues.
• Assist with SAP HANA and database-related troubleshooting and administration.
• Support SAP cloud and hosted environments as applicable.
• Maintain technical documentation, system procedures, security standards, and operational processes.
• Participate in projects involving SAP upgrades, implementations, integrations, security enhancements, and system improvements.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to provide appropriate SAP access while maintaining strong security controls.

• 5+ years of hands-on SAP administration, Basis, Security, or related technical SAP experience.
• Strong understanding of SAP security, roles, authorizations, and user access.
• Experience with SAP Basis administration and/or significant technical SAP infrastructure experience.
• Experience supporting SAP S/4
  
  HANA and/or ECC environments.
• Experience with SAP role and authorization management, including PFCG.
• Understanding of segregation of duties (SoD) and SAP access controls.
• Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills.
• Experience supporting SAP system landscapes, transports, upgrades, patches, or system refreshes.
• Experience with SAP authentication, SSO, SAML, SNC, or related identity technologies is highly valued.
• Familiarity with SAP HANA and SQL.
• Experience working with cloud-hosted or externally managed SAP environments is a plus.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
