Sullivan, Ward, Patton, Gleeson & Felty, P.C. is seeking to add associate attorneys to its well-established and growing firm who are recent graduates with up to 4 years experience to assist and work with senior level associates and partners on corporate and litigation matters. This associate position entails working in-person and directly with attorneys and support staff and imparts broad responsibilities and exposes the associate to a wide range of legal issues related to a variety of corporate and civil litigation matters.
Candidates should possess the following skills, qualifications and attributes:
- 0-5 year of relevant experience at a law firm
- Exceptional organizational & time-management skills and ability & experience meeting strict deadlines
- Superior written and oral communication skills
- Highest ethical standards and professional integrity
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work independently as well as work cohesively with staff, paralegals, partners and management
- Research and drafting pleadings, written discovery, motions, legal memoranda, and reviewing & drafting agreements.
- Analyzing and forming coherent and logical legal arguments
- Attending various hearings, depositions and legal proceedings both in-person and virtually
- Communicating with clients regarding legal matters and understanding and attending to client’s perspectives and needs.
- Communicating with counsel for opposing parties regarding procedural and substantive legal issues
- Maintaining an extensive and diversified caseload
