Location: Southfield, MI (Hybrid: 3 days onsite / 2 remote)
Schedule: Full-time (40 hours/week) Monday

- 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM
- 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and fast-paced Purchasing Coordinator to support a busy supply chain team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a high-volume environment, enjoys staying organized, and is comfortable managing multiple priorities at once.
You’ll play a key role in helping ensure purchase orders are tracked, updated, and delivered on time by working closely with suppliers and internal teams.
What You’ll Do
- Manage and organize high-volume email inboxes (primary responsibility)
- Track and confirm purchase orders (POs)
- Follow up with suppliers on order status and shipments
- Investigate and resolve issues such as delays, backorders, and missing items
- Update order information in internal systems (ERP/AS400)
- Use Excel to track orders and requests (training provided for advanced functions)
- Communicate regularly with team members and escalate issues when needed
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in high-volume, fast-paced work environments
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Ability to manage large volumes of emails and requests efficiently
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Basic Excel knowledge (sorting, tracking, data entry)
- Comfortable learning new systems (ERP experience is a plus)
Preferred Backgrounds
- Purchasing / procurement support
- Logistics or supply chain coordination
- Order entry / order processing
- Customer service (especially B2B or high-volume environments)
