Global Commodity Buyer
Location: Southfield, MI
Fully Onsite
Salary: $70,000–$120,000 annually

We are currently seeking an experienced Global Commodity Buyer to join a growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a strategic procurement professional with strong electronics sourcing experience
.
- Manage global sourcing and procurement activities for assigned commodities.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
- Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to achieve competitive pricing and favorable terms.
- Support cost-reduction initiatives and supplier performance improvements.
- Monitor market trends, supply risks, lead times, and commodity pricing.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Operations, and other internal teams.
- Ensure materials and components meet quality, cost, delivery, and technical requirements.
- Support supplier selection, sourcing strategies, and new product development.
- Manage purchasing activities while maintaining supply continuity.
- Previous experience in commodity buying, strategic sourcing, or procurement
. - Strong experience with electronics procurement is required.
- Knowledge of electronic components and related supply chains.
- Experience sourcing commodities such as:
- Sensors
- Electronic components
- Other electronic commodities
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and supplier relationship management abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fully onsite, cross-functional environment.
