Flex-N-Gate is a leading manufacturer and supplier of components for the automotive industry, recently ranked 10th of the 150 Top North American Suppliers in “Automotive News.” A growing and vital company, Flex-N-Gate provides a great opportunity for hard‑working and skilled individuals.

Paint and Assembly facility in Southfield, MI who is seeking general laborers to join our team. In this position, you will be performing various supporting tasks in a manufacturing setting. A strong work ethic, the ability to follow instructions and attention to detail are essential. No experience needed; we will train!

• Assemble component parts using the materials and tools provided in a predefined order and process.
• Tasks may require selection, manipulation, attachment of parts onto vehicles or components using power or hand tools, lift assists, or other equipment and machinery.

• Load and unload parts on the paint lines.
• Set up line as needed to hang parts.
• Pack parts according to customer specifications.
• Inspect parts prior to hanging and after painting to ensure there are no defects.

• Inspect parts to verify they meet customer specifications and that proper identification (part number, quantity, color, destination) is present.
• Scratch repair, dirt removal and repairing/removing other blemishes on parts.
• Buffing/polishing parts.
• Complete daily paperwork.
• Clean and maintain all finesse areas.

• Must be willing to rotate on different jobs.
• Be able to maintain an acceptable work pace throughout the day.
• Must be able to lift automotive parts up to 30 lbs, bending, reaching, twisting, and standing (90%) walk (10%).
• Responsible for his/her own quality of product.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Self‑motivated reliable team player. Must be dependable, on time.
• Ability to work with minimum supervision.
• Ability to learn new skills and behaviors.
• Must be able to read, write, walk, bend, carry, inspect, stoop, reach, twist, and stand intermittently.
• Must be able to work a 40‑hour schedule, plus mandatory overtime and possible weekends, as required per production needs.
