Job Summary:

The RN – NICU provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of high-quality, compassionate patient care within a Level 2 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. This role utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide, delegate, supervise, and document patient care and education for neonates and their families. The RN communicates effectively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams and participates in identifying and implementing solutions to variances from patient goals to improve outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver comprehensive nursing care to neonatal patients in a Level 2 NICU setting
  • Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document individualized patient care plans
  • Supervise and delegate nursing care activities appropriately
  • Educate and support patients’ families
  • Communicate pertinent patient and family information to the healthcare team
  • Participate in problem‑solving initiatives to address variances from patient goals
  • Ensure accurate and timely clinical documentation
Required

Skills & Experience:
  • Minimum 2 years of Level 2 NICU experience (required – no exceptions)
  • Strong clinical knowledge and analytical skills to develop effective nursing care plans
  • Ability to perform a wide range of professional nursing services
  • Strong communication skills with patients, families, and hospital personnel
  • Hospital‑based NICU experience required
  • No new graduates
Education Requirements:
  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing (required)
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Certifications & Licensure:
  • Current, active Michigan RN license (required)
  • BLS certification (required)
Additional Information:
  • On‑site position in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit
  • Candidates must be comfortable working nights, weekends, and in a high‑acuity neonatal setting
  • Benefits available to full‑time employees after 90 days of employment
  • 401(k) with company match available after 1 year of service
