PRN Hospice Registered Nurse needed for the Southfield area. This is a great opportunity to make an impact with patients and families.

The RN is a member of the Hospice team and provides Hospice care. This position will provide nursing care to the terminally ill hospice patient as needed and will provide assistance and understanding to the family in the home care situation and in time of bereavement. RN will provide support with visits and admissions. Shifts are on an as needed basis for Vacation/PTO coverage, admissions, visits and on-call.

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse to practice in the state.
• At least 1 year of nursing experience as a registered nurse, preferred. Will consider candidates with less experience, if experience is hospice care.
• Will be utilized to cover planned vacations or an RN out on leave or illness. Flexible to do an on-call shift rotation (1 weekend day per month).

• Ability to work independently, make accurate, and at times, quick judgments.
• Ability to respond appropriately to crisis outside of a hospital setting.
• Must make judgments based on assessments and data available and act accordingly.
• Must be flexible, innovative and possess good interpersonal skills.
• Must be able to cope with mental and emotional stress and demonstrate emotional stability.
• Acceptance of and adaptability to different social, racial, cultural and religious modes.
• Ability to complete Hospice training program.

• Must have a current valid driver's license, auto liability insurance and reliable transportation.
• Competitive mileage rates will be paid.
