Job Responsibilities

Test, validate, and diagnose automotive infotainment and connected-vehicle systems through automated and manual testing at the bench, vehicle, and plant levels; perform hardware diagnostics, log analysis, and root‑cause troubleshooting; and collaborate cross‑functionally to drive validation and sign‑off of vehicle software features.

A. Test Planning & Execution
  • Analyze, design, program, verify automated test scripts, and execute test automation on automotive infotainment systems.
  • Create and execute test plans and test cases in a vehicle or simulator at the lab, in accordance with project schedules and infotainment system functional requirements.
  • Execute static, on‑road, and test track vehicle software tests, including manual and automated test cases at bench and vehicle levels.
  • Validate infotainment software features, including Connectivity, Multimedia, Navigation, Settings, Voice Recognition, and OTA updates.
B. Hardware Diagnostics & Mechanical Systems Validation
  • Assess mechanical and electromechanical system interactions affecting infotainment performance, including sensor signal integrity, actuator response, and thermal and vibration effects on embedded hardware components.
  • Perform first triage, root‑cause analysis, and structured troubleshooting of software issues found during software release testing using CAN bus tools (CDA, CAN Analyzer, Intrepid, Huntsville), ADB, ATS, Wi‑Fi sniffers, Wireshark, QPST, and QXDM.
  • Perform hands‑on diagnostics using multimeters, oscilloscopes, and power supplies to isolate electrical and mechanical faults, analyze root causes, and validate corrective actions across vehicle hardware and embedded systems.
  • Validate ECU functionality, flashing procedures, and system behaviour across prototype, pre‑production, and production builds, including mechanical integration aspects such as thermal performance, vibration tolerance, and vehicle‑level harness and connector integrity.
C. Data Analysis & Reporting
  • Collect and analyse SOC, VIP, Android, and ATS logfiles to support software quality assessment and issue resolution.
  • Analyse failures, interpret test results, and produce failure reports; summarise test and quality reports for the R&D team.
D. Cross‑Functional Collaboration & Plant Support
  • Interact with systems and software teams to drive validation and sign‑off of vehicle software features and functions.
  • Support plant‑level troubleshooting, vehicle test fleet coordination, and launch activities at assembly and pilot plant sites, applying knowledge of mechanical systems, vehicle architectures, and manufacturing processes to identify and resolve hardware‑software interface issues.
  • Provide on‑demand support for urgent plant issues throughout the production launch cycle.
Knowledge & Skills Applied
  • CAN bus analysis tools: CDA, CAN Analyzer, Intrepid, Huntsville.
  • Diagnostic tools: ADB, ATS, Wi‑Fi sniffers, Wireshark, QPST, QXDM, multimeter, oscilloscope, power supply.
  • Project tracking tools: JIRA, Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of automotive infotainment software functions, development process, and OEM/Tier‑1 validation processes.
  • Logfile analysis and root‑cause identification of vehicle software issues.
  • Experience generating validation documentation and test results reports.
  • Working knowledge of statistical process controls and risk assessment processes.
  • Ability to collaborate across systems and software teams to drive validation and sign‑off of vehicle software features.
Requirements

Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Mechanical Engineering, or foreign equivalent plus 3 years of experience.
