About the Position:

We are looking for a System Validation and Delivery Engineer responsible for validating automotive electronic systems, embedded software, and integrated product releases before delivery to the customer. Based in Southfield, this role supports engineering programs for OEMs and Tier 1 automotive customers, ensuring that products meet system requirements, functional expectations, quality standards, and delivery milestones.

The engineer works closely with systems, software, hardware, test, quality, manufacturing, program management, and customer engineering teams to plan validation activities, execute test strategies, resolve issues, and support successful product launches and customer deliveries.

Your Responsibilities will be:
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute system validation activities for automotive electronic products.
  • Review system requirements, customer specifications, test plans, and validation criteria.
  • Develop and maintain validation plans, test cases, test procedures, and acceptance criteria.
  • Perform system-level testing, integration testing, regression testing, functional testing, and release validation.
  • Validate embedded software, ECU functionality, vehicle communication, diagnostics, and system behavior.
  • Ensure traceability between requirements, test cases, test results, defects, and final release documentation.
  • Analyze test results, identify failures, and support troubleshooting activities.
  • Log, track, and follow up on defects using tools such as JIRA, Polarion, DOORS, or similar systems.
  • Coordinate issue resolution with software, hardware, systems, and quality teams.
  • Support release readiness reviews, delivery approvals, and customer release packages.
  • Prepare validation reports, test summaries, defect summaries, delivery checklists, and customer-facing documentation.
  • Manage test environments, benches, prototypes, ECUs, software builds, and test equipment.
  • Support customer validation activities, technical reviews, onsite troubleshooting, and issue investigations.
  • Ensure validation activities meet project timing, quality gates, and customer delivery milestones.
  • Support continuous improvement of validation methods, automation, test coverage, and delivery processes.
  • Participate in lessons learned, risk assessments, and corrective action activities.
What Qualifications you will bring:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechatronics, Automotive Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Experience in system validation, embedded systems testing, automotive electronics, software testing, or product delivery engineering.
  • Understanding of product development lifecycle and system engineering processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret system requirements, software requirements, test specifications, and customer requirements.
  • Experience creating or executing test cases and validation procedures.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Good documentation, reporting, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work with cross‑functional and global teams.
  • Valid work authorization for the United States, if applicable.
