Mechanical Designer/PLM Librarian

Southfield, MI
We are seeking a detail‑oriented PLM Librarian to support enterprise‑wide data governance within the Dassault Systèmes 3
DEXPERIENCE platform (ENOVIA). This role focuses on managing and maintaining product data, libraries, and metadata to ensure high data quality, consistency, and accessibility across engineering, manufacturing, and supplier collaboration processes in an automotive environment.
- Data Governance & Classification
- Define and maintain attribute schemas, naming conventions, and classification standards (including 3D classification)
- Ensure metadata completeness and alignment with APQP program phases
- Enforce data quality, lifecycle control, and governance best practices
- PLM Library Management
- Curate and maintain:
- Standard parts libraries
- Supplier and purchased components
- CAD and drawing templates
- Knowledgeware catalogs
- Manage version control, revisions, baselines, and lifecycle states
- Curate and maintain:
- Product Data & Change Management
- Support engineering change processes (ECR/ECO) with traceability and impact analysis
- Ensure alignment across:
- EBOM MBOM
- Vehicle variants and configurations
- Maintain effectivity controls for product variants and series
- Participate in system upgrades/patches (R2026x FD02)
- Perform UAT and regression testing
- Validate data integrity, classification, and indexing
- Maintain workflows for release, maturity states, and lifecycle management
- Proficiency with:
- Microsoft Excel, Word, and data handling tools
- Strong attention to detail, data accuracy, and organization
- Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills
- Ability to work cross‑functionally with engineering, manufacturing, and suppliers
- Hands‑on experience with:
- Dassault 3
DEXPERIENCE / ENOVIA
- Dassault 3
- ECR/ECO processes
- EBOM/MBOM structure
- Variant/configuration management
- Familiarity with CAD tools:
- CATIA, NX, Solid Works
- Experience in:
- Automotive or manufacturing environments
- Data/library management
- Associate’s Degree in:
- Engineering, Information Systems, Library Science, or related field
- 2+ years of related experience preferred (PLM, data management, or library systems)
