* + Minimum 1 year of logistics, transportation, dispatch, or supply chain experience

+ General knowledge of the transportation and freight industry

+ Strong communication and organizational skills

+ Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment

+ Proficiency with data entry and computer systems

+ Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities

** Preferred:*
* + High school diploma or equivalent

+ Experience writing routine reports and correspondence

+ Ability to interpret and follow written, verbal, and diagram-based instructions

+ Customer service experience within a logistics or transportation environment

** Position Overview*
* We are seeking a detail-oriented  
** Logistics Specialist
** to support daily transportation operations for a growing logistics team in Southfield, MI. In this role, you will coordinate freight movement, communicate with drivers and customers, track shipments, and help ensure on-time deliveries. This position is ideal for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy solving problems while maintaining excellent customer service.

** Key Responsibilities*
* + Maintain customer profile information and enter customer tenders into the transportation management system

+ Monitor daily pickups and deliveries to ensure on-time service

+ Communicate load status updates to customers, receivers, and account managers

+ Take check calls from drivers and proactively address potential service issues

+ Verify and validate load information prior to marking shipments as delivered

+ Schedule and reschedule delivery appointments

+ Accept or decline loads based on direction from account managers

+ Provide drivers with detailed routing instructions and delivery information

+ Investigate shipment shortages, overages, damages, and service failures

+ Complete required documentation and maintain accurate shipment records

+ Escalate issues and support resolution efforts to ensure customer satisfaction

** Pay Details:**  $21.00 per hour
