Print Technician

Position Overview

AJM Packaging Corporation, a leading manufacturer of paper products, is seeking a Printing Press Technician for our Southgate, MI location.

Southgate, MI

• Troubleshoot common machine/quality problems and make necessary mechanical adjustments.
• Monitor the press continuously during operation and adjust to maintain quality.
• Ensure the press and other assigned equipment are maintained in safe operating condition.
• Operate the infeed and outfeed fool automation system.
• Assist in webbing press work.
• Review work orders/schedule, set up machine, and direct raw material flow to the printing presses.
• Strip and prepare paper rolls for delivery to their respective printing presses.
• Operate and troubleshoot automated roll movement and unwind/rewind systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance activities as scheduled or required.
• Immediately notify appropriate personnel of any issues with automation equipment or finished goods.
• Assist in tracking inventory levels of printing supplies.
• Adhere to all safety rules, guidelines, and procedures.
• Complete other duties as directed by the Supervisor.

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous experience with Microsoft AX is a plus.
• 1 year or more of manufacturing experience.
