AJM Packaging Corporation, one of America’s leading manufacturers of paper products, including paper plates, cups, bowls and bags, is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician to join our team. This individual will perform quality audits and inspections throughout production, identify and resolve quality issues through root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives, and support compliance with quality standards using advanced quality tools and methodologies.

• Audits materials, processes, and products at different stages of production to ensure compliance with company standards. (Measurement of plant level quality)
• Ensures operational process / product checks are being completed per the sample plan and verify those results.
• Identifies Quality issues that affect the form, fit, or function of the product and communicate information to the supervisor / foreman in a timely manner.
• Verifications audits to ensure quality issues are resolved in a timely manner.
• The ability to perform Root Cause investigations and utilize quality tools such as 5 Why, Cause & Effect, 8D, and factor analysis.
• Assist the Quality Manager in facilitation of problem-solving activities for Continuous Improvement opportunities.
• Willingness to train on advanced Quality fundamentals such as problem solving, quality tools, auditing, trend analysis, and Poka-Yoke (error proofing).

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred but not required
• One or more years of Quality experience preferred
• Ability to effectively perform process and product audits and compile results
• Must be able to successfully perform basic mathematical functions.
